We LOVE Live Music!
At Crescendo Music Studios, we’re committed to giving our students opportunities to perform whenever we can! We create our own live music events and join in many other community-run events all year round. We have dozens of events scheduled throughout the year including:
- Casual concert week in our Crescendo lobby
- Winter and spring recitals
- Crescendo Video Showcase
- The Sherwood Park Music Festival
- Summer music festivals
- Outdoor community concerts
- Local coffee house open mic performances

April 6, 12 & 13: Video Showcase
Video Showcase recording dates are Sunday, April 6, Saturday, April 12 and Sunday, April 13. This is a fantastic opportunity for students of all ages and levels. Prior registration is required to participate. Call us for more information.
Monday, April 7 – Thursday, April 17. Sherwood Park Music Festival – Strathcona County’s Only Performing Arts Festival.
April 7 – 11 at Emerald Hills Leisure Centre: Piano Week.
April 14 – 17 at Festival Place: All other disciplines.

Roald Dahl’s “Matilda” is the story of a girl who dreams of a better life and the children she inspires will have audiences rooting for the “revolting children” who are out to teach the grown-ups a lesson. This is a wonderful event the whole family will enjoy!
Saturday, Mar. 15, 3 – 4:15 pm: Clover Bar Lodge (1040 Iris Evans Way, Sherwood Park) Crescendo students and staff will be providing an afternoon of entertainment for the residents. See your teacher if you would like to perform.
Saturday, April 5 – Thursday, April 17: Video Showcase at Crescendo (140 – 849 Premier Way)Video showcase gives students an opportunity to record a performance in a comfortable one-on-one setting.

Coffee House Events
Crescendo’s Coffee House Events are a great opportunity for students with some performance experience such as recital, who are ready to take on a busy public venue. We’ve held Coffee Houses at a variety of locations including Rooster Kitchen, The Carrot Community Arts Coffeehouse and the Break Room Cafe.
