We LOVE Live Music!
At Crescendo Music Studios, we’re committed to giving our students opportunities to perform whenever we can! We create our own live music events and join in many other community-run events all year round. We have dozens of events scheduled throughout the year including:
- Casual concert week in our Crescendo lobby
- Winter and spring recitals
- Crescendo Video Showcase
- The Sherwood Park Music Festival
- Summer music festivals
- Outdoor community concerts
- Local coffee house open mic performances
Crescendo’s Performance Calendar for February & March 2025
Sunday, Feb. 2, 12:30 – 7:15 pm: Rockin’ at the Rec Room (Rec Room South Common 1725 99 St NW, Edmonton) We invite you to join us for a day of entertainment. Three sets: 12:30pm, 3:00pm and 5:30pm. Tickets are FREE and there are multiple sets throughout the day. ALL are welcome to come and support our advanced student and staff performers! Our WeJam bands and staff bands will be rockin’!
Friday, Feb. 21, 5 – 9 pm: Coffee House at Rooster Kitchen (10732 82 Ave, Edmonton) Crescendo students and staff have the opportunity to perform at the Rooster Kitchen on Whyte Avenue. All are welcome to attend – no charge. Delicious food is available for purchase.
Saturday, Mar. 8, 2:30 pm and 6:30 pm: Crescendo’s Musical Theatre Production of Finding Nemo Kids at Trinity Baptist Church (22550 Township Rd 530, Sherwood Park) Two show times! Disney’s Finding Nemo KIDS is a musical adaptation of the beloved 2003 Pixar movie Finding Nemo, with new music by award-winning songwriting team Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. Marlin, an anxious and over-protective clownfish, lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his kid Nemo, who longs to explore the world beyond their anemone home. But when Nemo is captured and taken to Sydney, Marlin faces his fears and sets off on an epic adventure across the ocean.
Saturday, Mar. 15, 3 – 4:15 pm: Clover Bar Lodge (1040 Iris Evans Wy, Sherwood Park) Crescendo students and staff will be providing an afternoon of entertainment for the residents. See your teacher if you would like to perform.
Coffee House Events
Crescendo’s Coffee House Events are a great opportunity for students with some performance experience such as recital, who are ready to take on a busy public venue. We’ve held Coffee Houses at a variety of locations including Rooster Kitchen, The Carrot Community Arts Coffeehouse and the Break Room Cafe.
